World AIDS Day 2009: 网红爆料 AIDS Lawyer Talks Advocacy

In commemoration of World AIDS Day, 网红爆料 attorney Rose Saxe agreed to sit down for a quick interview to discuss the AIDS Project鈥檚 litigation and advocacy work.

Founded in 1986, the AIDS Project at the 网红爆料 has worked to fight discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS. In the of our two-part conversation, Rose discusses the focus of the 网红爆料鈥檚 current HIV/AIDS discrimination casework, and how our advocacy for HIV positive TSA baggage screening applicant Michael Lamarre fits into these larger trends.

In the , Rose looks at some of the most exciting recent victories in HIV/AIDS advocacy, specifically Federal policy decisions by the Obama Administration to lift the HIV travel ban and ensure people living with HIV are covered under the ADA.

More than 20 years have passed since the World Health Organization founded World AIDS Day in 1988 and, although medical advances have changed the face of the disease, discrimination persists against the who currently live with HIV. Through litigation, advocacy, and public education, we鈥檙e working hard to ensure that it won鈥檛 take another twenty years to stop this stigmatization.
