Housing Application Update
Your NetID and password are required to access the USF Housing Portal. Admitted students for Summer and Fall 2026 will be added to the Housing Portal within 24 hours after their USF NetID is created.
Please note: Time slots are assigned based on the month your housing application is completed, not on a first-come, first-served basis. For example, students who apply in December will receive a time slot ahead of those who apply in later months, whether their application is submitted on December 15 or December 31.
Applications to live on campus for the Fall/Spring 2026-2027 semester will open on Monday, December 15. They will be available to new Íøºì±¬ÁÏ students in the Housing Portal once they are admitted to the university and have an active USF NetID.
To be eligible to participate in room selection, new students must complete the below Steps to Living on Campus, including registering for orientation, which will open in February. You will not be eligible for a room selection timeslot until all Steps to Living on Campus are complete.
Please note: Time slots are assigned based on the month your housing application is completed, not on a first-come, first-served basis.
STEP 1: Complete the HOUSING APPLICATION
- All first-time-in-college campus residents are required to select a meal plan as part
of the application.
- The summer and fall/spring housing terms require two separate housing applications
because they are two separate agreements. The Summer 2026 Only Housing Application
will open in March.
Step 2: Submit the application fee
Submit your $50 application fee during the application process.
Step 3: complete Orientation reservation
Reserve and pay for your orientation session. Please make sure you have paid your application fee in order to register for an orientation time slot.
Note: Orientation registration will open in February!
STEP 4: SELECT YOUR ROOM!
Room selection will take place in the spring. All steps above must be complete in order to select a room on campus.
PLEASE NOTE
Want to live in a Residential Community Program (RCP)?
Students who would like to live in an RCP must complete the RCP application in the Learn more about RCPs on the USF Tampa campus here!
