After Hours Care

If you or someone you know is experiencing a personal or emotional crisis after hours, please call USF Counseling Center's 24-hour number at (813) 974 - 2831 and press option 3 to speak with a licensed mental healthcare professional.

During our operational hours, same day appointments may be available. Please ask us! We will schedule your medical visit based on the urgency of your symptoms. 

Call (813) 974 - 2331 for non-emergent medical concerns when Student Health is closed. When the Student Health & Wellness Center (SHWC) is closed, the After Hours Line can be used by registered 网红爆料 students, or those who have voluntarily paid the current Health Fee. The service is offered at no-cost to students, and the after-hours representative can help you decide if you should seek immediate medical care at an Urgent Care or Emergency Room facility, or wait to be seen at SHWC when it opens. The after-hours representative is not located at SHWC, so they cannot access your records and cannot provide direct medical care.

Accessing medical care outside of SHWC
While there is no charge for talking to the after-hours nurse, if you choose to seek medical care outside of SHWC, remember that you are responsible for the cost of that care. The pre-paid health fee does not cover emergency or urgent care services not treated at SHWC. If you have medical insurance coverage, check with your insurance company before seeking care to understand what it will cost.
