Each individual has a unique tax position and is responsible for their own tax determination and compliance. Please remember that OIS staff are not tax professionals and can not offer tax advice.

OIS Sprintax Return Software Assistance Sessions (In-Person & Online)
Once tax season has begun, the Office of International Services also hosts Sprintax Software Assistance Sessions multiple times a week to assist international students and scholars with utilizing the Sprintax Non-Resident Tax Prep tool. Staff will be available to help with interpreting your immigration documents, clarifying instructions, and providing a brief Sprintax tutorial.
Assistance sessions for Spring 2026 (2025 tax year) will be offered in person & online from February through April 2026 on the following days and times:

Frequently Asked Questions
Sprintax does not allow me to proceed due to the residency status. How can I solve it?
This indicates that you are classified as a tax resident. As Sprintax supports only non-resident for tax purposes, please consider using other tax software for residents or consult from the IRS.
What is 1098-T form?
1098-T is applicable only to tax residents. If you are a tax non-resident, please disregard it.

How to get the discount code for Sprintax?

As a non-resident for tax purposes, I used TurboTax (or another tax filing software) instead of Sprintax for filing taxes, how can I resolve this?
Sprintax Return Form is designed for tax non-residents. Therefore, you will need to file an amendment. Request the appropriate form from TurboTax (or another tax filing software) and use it to amend your taxes with Sprintax Form.
